Way out west...

I was out west the other day checking on various things around the coast and took a few pictures; sadly the white water lillies had passed their peak, so no more photos of them until next year if I catch them.

It was a very warm and muggy day with threatening rain, but a bit of drama only adds to the coastal views. Here's The Voe of Dale at The Dale of Walls. The distant headland of Mu Ness is well worth a walk around as is Bakka where I took the photo from. Saying that there's a walk all the way from here past Sandness and on to Little Bousta if you have the legs...

If you do venture out to Little Bousta you also get a treat when you pass this miniature Faroese village on the road side...

And on the coast behind here there's more wonderful coast to explore. Brough Skerries in the distance have the remains of a cliff top fort and the harbour at Bousta is lovely...

It might be nice up north, but it's pretty grand out west.
