Another fine winters day...

After having a stubborn tooth extracted yesterday being out in the biting wind for longer than necessary was not an option, but life goes on so I ended up down at the south end on various jobs for a while. It was a beautiful day so I took a few quick photos.

Here's Fitful Head from Toab, there wasn't much bird life but a few fulmars were swooping about and there was still a dusting of snow on the back of the hill...

And a more distant view from the road up to Sumburgh Head with Scat Ness in the middle ground...

Scousburgh Sands were looking pretty cold and wind swept with a frozen beach...

I've been getting aurora alerts this afternoon so with a bit of luck if the cloud cover doesn't thicken up I'll get a few aurora photos tonight!
